Job Overview
This position is responsible for the direct supervision of field technicians, maintaining scheduling of all work, communicating and advising customers (both external and internal) of all aspects of repairs, and is also responsible for enforcing company’s policies and procedures (safety, DOT, fatigue policy and MSHA).
Key Job Responsibilities
Supervise field crew from scheduling labor/parts to disciplinary issues.
Evaluate all completed job to ensure quality and full work scope completion.
Develops and maintains repair schedules for all personnel on daily basis.
Works directly with Planner and oversees the ordering of necessary parts and materials. Provides all pertinent information to the planner for preparation of the cost analyst to invoice closed work orders.
Maintains constant communication with internal and external customers by providing repair estimates, change recommendations, scheduling, and completion dates, and obtains customer approval for all the above.
Working alongside with Account Manager to develop quotes, work scope, time frames.
Provides repair estimates, change recommendations, scheduling, and completion dates services and obtains approval for all the above for the Sales Dept. Oversees the receiving, delivery, & maintenance (on arrival) condition of all rental units.
Qualifications/Requirements
Associates Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or equivalent.
Must be very organized to keep up with the labor force, man hours, consumables, parts, safety/DOT training and maintenance of all equipment.
5 years’ experience as heavy equipment (construction or mining) technician.
Thorough understanding of basic mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and structural systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of Company products (specifications, applications, operation, maintenance, structure/function, testing/adjusting, repair).
Strong Knowledge of MSHA and DOT regulations.
Must be able to speak in public environment.
