What will you do?
The Business Manager is responsible for managing the contracting process end-to-end for strategic, complex IoT Managed Services Opportunities while working with Sales, Solution Architects, and Delivery teams to create compelling customer proposals. This role will also be responsible for drafting and reviewing contractual documents, while working closely with all parts of the business to position a winning solution.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sets the overall direction for assigned complex IoT managed services deal(s) and responsible for the successful execution of the contracting process, ensuring consistency and adherence with KORE’s strategy, commitments and goals, compliance, policies, and procedures by acting as a subject matter expert on complex deals to include:
- Pre-sales process
- Pricing
- Win strategy
- Qualification
- Negotiation
- Convert customer requirements to viable solutions in association with Solution Architects
- Create winning proposals.
- Work proactively with Sales and functional stakeholders (Solution Architects and Delivery teams) to develop a realistic close plan for the assigned IoT managed services deal(s) including identifying key milestones, anticipating potential issues, and identifying resolutive actions to be taken.
- Provide advice to Sales by identifying applicable KORE policies as they related to specific contract terms, relevant for the assigned IoT managed services deal(s)
- Advise Sales on the appropriate terminology to include in approval requests to ensure contract term requests are clear and unambiguous; allowing the company to make informed decisions for a successful and efficiently final contract.
- Facilitate internal discussions amongst functional stakeholders to reach practical business solutions to complex contracting issues and provide such functional stakeholders with any contract documents necessary to ensure a thorough evaluation of issues.
- Proactively manage the deal close plan, facilitating involvement and commitment from all parties until the contracting process has concluded.
- Support request for RFPs and assist in preparing presentations.
- Provide data analysis on pricing, win/loss trends.
- Help anchor conversations with the customer during requirements understanding, presenting proposals and customers visit to our facility at Rochester.
- Other responsibilities may be deemed appropriate by management.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology or a related field and Master’s in Business
- More than 3 years’ experience in deal strategy or professional services
- Experience working within a target-oriented environment.
- Experience in demonstrating participation in process improvement initiatives and/or program or project management.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and driving engagement in a cross-functional team, excellent process, and organizational skills.
- Analytical, problem-solving mindset with an ability to diagnose root cause issues and act for process improvement initiatives.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in IoT, Telecom, or technology space
- Experience in Price Modeling, Competitive Analysis and Operations Management

- Capable of explaining complex concepts clearly and credibly (verbal and written) across all levels of the organization

- Ability to effectively evaluate complex data, identify trends, draw conclusions, and summarize management.
- Ability to create compelling customer facing documents.
- Ability to have an inquisitive, questioning mindset with strong critical judgment and careful attention to detail.
