An ideal candidate is a Veteran who has managed power plant (wind, coal, natural gas, nuclear, etc.) operations. Senior Enlisted Navy Nuke qualified who's worked as an engineer on a sub and/or an engine room should also apply.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Geothermal power generation operations management
- Develops project plans, provides direction, and coordinates activities associated with plant operations and maintenance
- Manage 8 - 10 employees
- Performs supervisory activities for employees, including but not limited to the instruction of employee safety, participation in the hiring process, development of employees, and operator performance management
Required Skills/Abilities
- BS Engineering Degree – Mechanical, Electrical, or Nuclear
- Knowledge of three-phase power systems, inverters, instrumentation, and digital control systems, high-speed rotating machines, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics
- Experience in managing electrical (HV/LV) operators and technicians and a working knowledge of electrical distribution systems (transformers, switchgear, etc.)
