KPMG is currently seeking a Managing Director to join our Tax Transformation organization.
Responsibilities:
- Play a key role as an Ignition liaison for SALT supporting and enhancing the Indirect Tax practice's technology solutions and go-to-market efforts
- Lead team in identifying and leveraging technology to enhance and differentiate current and future service offerings to drive growth through innovation
- Apply financial reporting standards and tax technical guidance to processes and technology applications
- Lead multiple client engagement teams while maintaining active communication with clients in an effort to deliver quality results and help ensure client satisfaction
- Lead, participate in and contribute to market and business development activities external to the firm, including identifying and pursuing new potential client service opportunities by collaborating with KPMG's specialty practice areas
- Contribute to the growth, experience and institutional knowledge of the Tax Ignition and SALT practices' team members
Qualifications:
- Minimum ten years of recent experience in a combination of indirect tax and tax technology in an audit, tax or advisory services firm or corporation
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university and licensed CPA, JD/LLM or Enrolled Agent or certified in one or more technology applications such as Thomson, SAP or Hyperion
- Knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters including tax reporting and compliance experience; posses both tax and technology skills
- Demonstrated track record of business development with the ability to develop and maintain existing internal and external client relationships and help build new relationships with key targets
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple engagements and client service teams as well as developing and mentoring staff within a collaborative environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information
