Conduct external audits, including Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) registrants. Research technical accounting issues. Understand and addressSEC financial reporting issues. Review audit work papers. Test the design andeffectiveness of internal financial controls for assigned clients. Assist withaccount functions, including billing, fee analysis, and new servicedevelopment. Identify performance improvement opportunities for assignedclients. Demonstrate in-depth accounting knowledge. Pursue business developmentopportunities. Establish and maintain client relationships and professionalnetworks.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Master'sdegree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration,Management, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor'sdegree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration,Management, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressiverelated work experience.
Of the requiredexperience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: U.S. GenerallyAccepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards(GAAS); Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Auditing Standards;SEC financial reporting issues, including SEC filings for public engagements;and Testing internal accounting procedures and communicating findings toclients.
Must have an active CaliforniaCPA license.
Travel to various locationsthroughout the US required up to 5%.
