KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Corporate Affairs organization.
Responsibilities:
- Support thought leadership and executive visibility campaigns that engage internal and external stakeholders with writing, research, and media and social media efforts
- Source and develop content for practice-wide communications, with a focus on prioritizing material that aligns to business growth areas, key operational updates, and employee engagement initiatives
- Provide tactical support for ad-hoc initiatives that enable Advisory Communications to serve as a strategic partner to the business while also improving collaboration within the team; build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and understand the communications landscape to develop compelling messages and deliverables
- Drive communications to both external and internal audiences through a variety of mediums, including social media, events, infographics, and written communications
- Develop and maintain productive, collaborative relationships with cross-functional business partners, such as Marketing or Business Operations, to effectively executive against priority campaigns and initiative; work with data and analytics to glean actionable insights, draw conclusions, drive meaningful outcomes, and be able to pivot quickly based on what the data indicates
- Serve as connection point on the team and with key stakeholders to ensure awareness of programs, best practices, deliverables, and results; act as an avid consumer of traditional news and social media, bringing external trends and case studies into communications; proactively offer ideas and thinking creatively about new ways to support the Advisory communications strategy
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of recent experience working in communications, media relations, and/or public affairs
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
- Ability to effectively collaborate and interact with individuals at all levels across an organization, including senior leadership; possess some knowledge of the business and competitive environment
- Extremely strong writing and project management skills, including a demonstrated ability for organization; be a proactive team player and self-starter who exercises independent judgment and discretion; in-depth knowledge of and experience using internal and external communications channels including social and digital media; public affairs or public relations agency experience a plus
- Proven technical aptitude and critical thinking; knowledge of, and ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of tools and other measurement tools
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and/or Risk Management organizations also a plus; ability to thrive, multi-task, and be flexible in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
