GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Year-round opportunity. Flexible with class schedule.

Apply knowledge and principles of electronic theory, design, and engineering to product development and product support.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in the transition of product from engineering to production
• Perform parts research and procedure preparation for new designs
• Perform schematic entry and prototype testing
• Collect and analyze engineering test data toward a given objective
• Interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions
• Support development of test plans and procedures for products under development
• Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD

Experience and Skills:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards

Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors

Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary

Ability to adhere to workplace rules

Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, work instructions and component identifications

Ability to work with minute parts and demonstrate finger dexterity

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Current student enrolled in applicable bachelor’s degree program

Basic experience with MS Office

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Production and office environment

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time

Ability to perform repetitive motion (use of arm-hand steadiness, finger dexterity, manual dexterity for small parts assembly, frequent use)

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
