Truck Equipment Installation Technician

TRUCK EQIPMENT INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN: Responsible for up-fitting, assembling, repairing and customizing light and heavy duty trucks to customer specifications. Must be willing to learn and have a strong attendance record in past employment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Create a safe working environment.
• Build & customize heavy & light duty vehicles using a variety of parts according to customer specifications
• Wiring electrical components for an assortment of vehicles
• Plumbing hydraulic systems for an assortment of vehicles
• Reading and understanding repair orders
• Properly allocating time spent on repair orders
• Ensure a timely turnaround for vehicles repairs

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Mechanical experience with light and heavy duty vehicles
• Strong math skills
• Ability to weld
• Knowledge and understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems for truck equipment
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong attendance record
• Must be able to work off a Repair Order
• Must be self-sufficient and self-driven
• Hire must provide their own tools

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Majority of work performed in a shop
• Ability to use carts, forklifts, hand truck, pallet, jack, hand and power tools
• Frequent lifting of 60-100 pounds
• Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day
• Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumes
