Position Summary:
Assist Human Resources Manager to provide leadership and direction to the Logistics HR function. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee staffing needs at distribution center (DC) site (s)
- Assist with the recruiting process of new associates; including the selection and hiring process
- Onboard new associates and conduct orientation and appropriate training
- Coordinate programs to promote retention
- Ensure personnel files are maintained according to company guidelines
- Strive to effectively solve problems for the mutual benefit of the company and its associates, provide education and direction for management on contract interpretation, labor relations principles and effective conflict resolution
- Facilitate training on-site as directed by corporate Logistics
- Maintain confidentially and exercise discretion
- Participate in safety training and promote at facility
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to travel independently ( > 25%)
- Oversee facility with less than 250 associates (Level – 5)
- Oversee multiple facilities, associate size 250 – 500 (Level 6)
- Oversee multiple facilities, associate size greater than 500 – (Level 7)
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
- 3 years’ experience in a supervisory position
- Knowledge of employment law
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
