Position Summary:

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional, friendly service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist store management in achieving sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor and control all established quality assurance standards. Work closely with the growler team to create an environment that is engaging to customers. Embrace the Customer 1^st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service. Essential Job Functions:

· Display a positive attitude; promote trust and respect among associates.

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the bar area.
• Check for valid identification of bar patrons to ensure that alcohol is not served to customers under the age of 21.
• Fill, seal and ring up customer growlers based on customer requests.
• Take customer orders from patrons seated at the bar and in the dining area and serve alcohol, other beverages and food to customers.
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of bar area and dining area to local health department and company standards.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness. Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
• Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions note any discrepancies in inventory.
• Order, label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to store management.
• Use equipment in department such as refrigerators, chillers, hand trucks, and u-boats according to company guidelines.
• Process customer transactions through the cash register quickly, accurately, and efficiently. Understand the Point of Sale (POS) system, and handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit and checkout procedures according to company policy.
• Understand and adhere to the company's limits on cash shortages and/or overages and work honestly and effectively to control loss.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report all safety risk, or issues and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Current food handlers permit once employed
• Class 12 Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) permit once employed
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Ability to handle stressful situations

Desired Previous Job Experience

• Passion for microbrews and other beverages
• Bar experience and/or Retail experience
• High school education or equivalent
