Our client has an exciting opportunity for an equipment Account Executive to join their inside sales team of their growing agriculture equipment production plant in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. They are seeking an experienced Account Executive who is passionate and knowledgeable about the agriculture industry. The responsibilities of the Account Executive include providing excellent customer service, closing deals, and processing documentation after the sales process is complete.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years sales experience and/or knowledge of Agriculture equipment. This position is responsible for providing quotes, orders and service to customers. This position requires high accuracy and attention to detail. You will work with current dealers and users and seek out new accounts and markets to sell their equipment.
This individual will be a self-starter with a high attention to detail to identify and develop new and current business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery and individual research. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.
Essential Functions:
- Building relationships with clients.
- Negotiating deals with clients.
- Closing deals.
- Analyzing data and market trends.
- Utilizes manufacturing database to research availability of product and processes orders as efficiently and correctly as possible.
- Demonstrating a solid understanding of the company's products or services.
- Networking to attract potential clients.
- Communicates effectively with all departments to achieve efficient and effective processing of customer orders and the ability to meet customer promise dates.
- Assists in establishing both personal and departmental goals, objectives, and activities.
- Maintains current accounts and solicits new accounts through written, personal, and telephone contact.
- Provides current information on products, applications, and services, helping current and prospective buyers with technical concerns and/or problems.
- Assists in training customers to operate and maintain equipment and products.
- Participates in trade shows, conferences, seminars, and other education opportunities.
- Ability to travel when necessary to assist in outside sales
Experience and Skills Needed:
- Two-year degree in related field and and/or previous experience in a similar position
- Previous Sales experience preferred, but our training will support you to succeed
- Highly motivated individual with a team player mentality
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and presentation skills.

- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability required
- Basic knowledge of ag equipment users and farming, consumer and agriculture and agricultural equipment – wholesale and retail selling
- Knowledge of order entry, manufacturing systems, and basic awareness of electronic data processing and management.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software required and ERP experience a plus
- Proven inside sales experience
- Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Job Type: Onsite - In Office. Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
