What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales & Estimating Representative position at KSI?
Our client, D&B Remodeling, is looking to bring on a Sales and Estimating Representative to represent their company to customers and potential customers, introducing D&B's services, and selling remodeling, maintenance, and related products and services to clients in the Cedar Rapids area. As part of the process, this person is responsible for estimation and pricing decisions on a job by job basis.
The Sales and Estimating Representative responds to sales leads received by the company as well as making sales calls to prospective clients, including past clients. Qualified candidates will also represent the company in a project management role, ensuring customer service and quality control throughout the remodeling process.
This position requires significant travel in the Cedar Rapids/Corridor area and work hours before 8 am and after 5 pm.
Compensation is a combination of fixed salary and commission along with a great benefits package.
D&B Remodeling started as a local father/son partnership focused on helping REALTORS® prepare properties for sale. Preferred Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some college level work in marketing/construction management/psychology/sales.
- Five years in selling products and services.
- Five years selling construction/remodeling/repair services and products, construction, project estimation, construction project management.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Must be able to exhibit selling, closing, purchasing skills.
- Must be able to formulate plans and projections and follow through.
- Must be able to understand people and the customer’s environment.
- Must possess high level of organizational skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s licenses and be insurable on the company’s insurance policy.
- Must be able to prepare estimates for customer’s approval/acceptance and manage remodeling and
- repair projects, from a labor and cost standpoint.
