Forklift Operator/Production Worker

Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. The Forklift Operator will play a crucial role in efficiently moving materials and products within our facility while adhering to strict safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to safely transport, stack, and arrange materials, products, and goods within the facility.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using the forklift, ensuring proper stacking and securing of items to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by recording and documenting movements of materials and products.
• Inspect and perform routine maintenance on forklifts, reporting any mechanical issues or concerns to the supervisor for prompt resolution.
• Follow established procedures for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts, including pre-shift inspections, proper handling of loads, and adherence to speed limits and traffic rules within the facility.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure timely and accurate movement of materials to designated areas.
• Participate in inventory counts and assist in maintaining a well-organized and clean warehouse environment.
• Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, reporting any incidents, accidents, or near misses immediately.
• Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and waste, if applicable.
• Assist in training new forklift operators and provide guidance to ensure safe and effective operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
