BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The Technical Writer will help maintain updates and corrections for all reference materials for the Engineering team. This position will help develop processes, procedures, and materials that will improve effectiveness and efficiency. This role will be responsible for these materials to ensure proper testing and validation procedures are developed and followed. Ability to work with little or no supervision.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures, and guidelines:
Provide timely updates to new model launches.
and ensure that new or revised information is reflected in all Engineering systems.
Work within the SAP system to create and maintain technical manuals that are used for training, testing and validation.
Assist in and develop processes that will improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Update the Quick Reference Guide with new model additions and supersession parts.
Leads in the publications of dealer reference materials.
Communicating errors and providing corrections.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred:
With a degree at least 5 years of relevant technical writing experience required.
In lieu of a degree at least 7 years of relevant technical writing experience required.
Willingness to travel at least 10% of the time.
