What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Job Coach position at Kulanu Academy?
The Job Coach position is responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Evaluate the potential work sites to gain information regarding the social requirements, work schedule, tasks, safety procedures and what is necessary for individual to be successful at site.
- Acclimate individuals regarding the work site and safety precautions. Train individuals in tasks. Use coaching strategies to help with skill acquisition while focusing on independence.
- Take prompt level data
- Ensure the well-being and safety of all individuals served.
- Travel training skills to and from community-based work locations.
- Document services provided in compliance with agency, local, state and federal regulations.
- Write and submit in timely manner all monthly required reports
- Attend team meetings, professional development opportunities and parent conferences.
- Act as liaison between the individual, employer, families, the organization, and the community.
- Job may include, but not be limited to, the following: bending, stooping, lifting up to 10 pounds
- Job includes, at times, extensive walking
- Frequent location changes and movement between different community-based work settings; staff may have to be at 3 to 4 different locations in one work shift
- Work hours may be flexible based upon clients’ needs
