Summary of Responsibilities
The Marketing & Events Coordinator shapes and executes on general marketing activities and our events strategy. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role requires a highly-motivated and self-driven individual with a strong project management backbone who defines our events approach and plays a key role in coordinating marketing activities such as PR, social media, and buyer-influencer marketing to showcase our thought leadership, build brand awareness, and develop leads in support of our revenue goals. Events include both in-person experiences and digital experiences and may include audiences such as prospective buyers, consultants, Kumanu clients, and users.
Core Responsibilities
- Marketing Activities:
- Coordinates execution of and manages timelines associated with marketing activities as assigned, such as marketing collateral creation, campaign launches and execution, website updates, and PR activities.
- Ensures all stakeholders with Kumanu are apprised of upcoming marketing activities for awareness and sharing with their networks as appropriate.

Events:
- Oversee event strategy and execution including both in-person and virtual speaking opportunities, and Kumanu-hosted webinars for prospective buyers, consultants, Kumanu clients, and users.
- Develop and define Kumanu's annual event calendar, keeping a pulse on our quickly evolving industry and working closely with sales to optimize events to achieve our marketing goals.
- Identify and manage all operational logistics of both in-person events and virtual events / panels, including coordination of panelists, configuration of webinar tools, monitoring chat activities, and introduction of speakers.
- Coordinate with B2B marketing to build out event booths, collateral, and other branding assets needed for event sponsorship by managing vendors and partnering with internal design colleagues.
- Coordinate with sales teams on pre and post-event outreach activities.

Overall:
- Quantify and report on key metrics related to marketing activities to determine effectiveness and impact on business goals.
- Effectively communicate and represent our brand, message, and value proposition as needed in the course of coordinating events and marketing activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or Business
- 3 years in a marketing role, including a focus in events management
- Experience managing in-person and online events
- Excellent attention to detail and project management
- Ability to manage unexpected challenges as they arise
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once with various priorities and stakeholders
- Ability to travel to conferences, if needed (in the US)
- Experience running large scope projects in a matrixed team environment
- Experience with webinar management tools such as Zoom
