Instructor

The Instructor is responsible for full operations of the Kumon center (instruction, center management, communication, accounting, marketing, customer service). The Instructor will support the training of our employees and potential franchisees by providing a model center in which they can work/learn, etc.   Responsibilities:  Keep inventory– order K-store inventory; provide feedback to Manager for necessary outside purchases   Handle administrative duties in the center, including photo copying, checking phone messages and returning calls, scheduling of students, etc. Provide accurate reports of new and absent students to Manager for upcoming tuition collection Provide utility and other bills as required to Manager for payment Handle all incoming parent/guardian inquiries (walk‐ins, phone calls and those forwarded from the call center); including but not limited to sharing about the Kumon Method, signing parents/guardian up for an orientation, making reminder phone calls or mailings Provide 50-75% of Parent Orientations and Placement Testing to enroll students Use all functions the CMS software program to manage student progress, make work adjustments as required Participate in relevant Kumon trainings and develop knowledge of the Kumon method and aims of the worksheets through ongoing intensive study of the Kumon Math and Reading Worksheets Provide assistance/guidance to students, adhering to Kumon Method standards On‐going assessment of student skills development Develop and understand lesson plan and goals for each student in order to properly administer instruction individually Assessing oral reading ability with reading students and providing necessary feedback Observe students and/or student performance on worksheets in relation to instruction given and goals set Assist in training staff outside of class times Support local marketing initiatives in the Center Manage Customer Service issues as they arise Assist in preparation of monthly reports Requirements: Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree desired Nights and weekends as required Shift schedule based on center needs This is a full-time position; 37.50 Hours/Week
