Job Summary
The HR Generalist supports the daily functions of the HR department which includes enforcing company policies, procedures, and programs. This role also supports the HR organization in areas such as recruitment, training, employee relations and organizational development. This role may act as the main point of contact for employee’s inquiries on HR-related topics.
Essential Functions
Respond to HR related inquiries from employees and managers.
Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes such as identifying recruiting sources, posting positions, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
Actively identify and participate in recruiting efforts at job fairs, open houses, and colleges where and when appropriate.
Conduct employee onboarding and new hire orientation at all locations.
Create and distribute internal communications regarding HR related items.
Organize training and development initiatives.
Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance and support to employees and management.
Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
Support performance management initiatives through the administration of performance improvement plans and other coaching techniques.
Support succession planning and employee development initiatives to further employee growth.
Organize monthly / annual performance reviews.
Enhance job satisfaction by helping to resolve issues promptly.
Maintain electronic employee files using our HRIS system – Dayforce.
Manage the offboarding process which may include preparing separation documentation and conducting exit interviews.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics.

Required
BS/BA in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant field
2 years of related experience as an HR Generalist
Demonstrated understanding of general Human Resources policies and procedures
Knowledge of employment/labor laws
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and people skills
Aptitude in problem solving
Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
Preferred
4 years of related experience
HR Certification (i.e. PHR/SPH, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP)
