GENERAL PURPOSE:


Reporting to the Sales Manager of Business Development, the Business Development Representative is responsible for prospecting for individuals within existing accounts to help sell through to end-users. The Business Development Representative concentrates on creating prospects and customer relationships in a consultative selling approach. In addition to traditional sales efforts, the Business Development Representative will use creative efforts to build selling programs that identify, target and close sales alongside our distribution partners.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

  • Grow revenue and profits within assigned accounts alongside Luxor Account Specialists
  • Develop, maintain, and grow sales relationships with Luxor distribution customers alongside their end-users
  • Stay up to date on trends within assigned markets to help our distribution partners spot and close opportunities
  • Provide proper reporting of sales activities, including use of CRM system and providing accurate and timely monthly opportunity pipeline reporting
  • Develop product expertise on the existing product line and positively contribute to new product development by leveraging information from customers and competitors
  • Daily quote management including pricing, phone calls, emails, freight quotes, etc.


OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Interacting with other departments, including Marketing, Purchasing, Accounting, Customer Service
  • Other duties as assigned


SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Commitment to utilizing CRM software and managing via CRM software, salesforce preferred
  • Proven ability to create new sales opportunities and close
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-Motivated
  • Ability to attend floor days or tradeshows if need arises


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of sales experience. Experience selling to resellers and their end-users preferred


Computer equipment and level of software requirements:


  • Intermediate PowerPoint
  • Intermediate Word
  • Intermediate Excel
  • Outlook
  • Experience using CRM (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) to review customer and product data
