This specific role as the Sr. Manager, Finance will be responsible for the consolidation and analysis of the financial results of the Kiehl's DMI brand. This role impacts the global Kiehl's brand but based in the NYC. This includes validation of the reporting and month end executive commentary as well as managing risk and opportunities from the business units. They will also be responsible for assisting in the preparation of Trend and Budget presentations to management.
Job Summary
Responsible for managing the calendar, coordination and preparation of the Brand's financial reporting, utilizing Compass, Magnitude, and SAP. Responsible for the Budget and Trend consolidation for the entire brand P&L, with ownership of all assigned product lines. Responsible for the real-time tracking of all P&L Risks & Opportunities, and for preparing and analyzing Compass reports plus adhoc analyses. Manages cost control and conducts budget meetings with departmental and brand managers, as well as coordination of the month-end close process. Conducts Balance Sheet analysis and reconciliation with partnership from Accounting.
Forecasts and analyzes A&P and SG&A budget and determines the nature of any variances. Assists Brand Finance partners with the preparation of Budget and Trends.
Responsible for robust Worldwide financial reporting to assist the International Business Development team on monthly strategic zone decisions. Analysis of worldwide P&Ls to ensure the level of launch product investment is sound. Analysis of Top countries P&Ls, i.e. China, USA, UK & TRAP. Update and Analyze BI Compass Worldwide reporting. Analyze financial flows related to the specific Kiehl's business model, i.e. Distribution and CRM/Loyalty
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- Strong computer skills (Excel is required)
Must possess strong analytical, financial modeling and problem solving skills; business acumen; leadership skills; strong presentation and interpersonal skills. Must be a proactive team-player with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.
Judgment and Decision Making
Must be able to work independently supporting the needs of the department and work closely with both Brand Management and Departmental Management while following the strategic mandate and vision of Corporate Finance. Must be able to meet and fluidly discuss with management the business implications of spending decisions. Supervision from above will be intermittent
