The apparel Merchandiser plays a key role by driving product line planning. The ideal candidate is highly motivated with a background in brand knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Create strategic direction for product line management for all apparel brands across various channels of focus.
- Execute the brands' voice to the consumer.
- Serve as key player in working with VP of Merchandising & Marketing to include strategic meeting prep, evaluating & execution of sales opportunities, & product evolution by style/collection, art, & brand voice..
- Lead Merchandiser for digital marketing support across collegiate channels for Lease and Strategic Accounts. Collaborate on art selections, line planning, copy, & all necessary details from start to finish on all digital launches, including drop ship for all collegiate customers.
- Serve as key support for Lease & Strategic Accounts team for all product needs & requests from key customers, & participates in regular meetings.
- Keep up-to-date with latest trends & relay in a timely manner to all creative teams.
- Work collaboratively across departments: Design, Sales, Art Development, Production, & Marketing Art for all product launches.
- Maintain visibility and work to continue to strengthen relationships with key accounts in collegiate channel, as well as special projects.
- Drive and lead on various projects including: Collegiate Photoshoot, Sales Analysis Knowledge, Key Account/Lease Samples, Cross Departmental Sample needs, also contribute to Brand Vocabulary & Product Knowledge Training Tools.
- Manage all sample needs for Lease, Strategic Accounts, Tradeshow Samples, Key Account Meetings, etc.
- Serve as key member of the Decoration Committee.
- Play a key role in product knowledge and training of line launches for L2 and sales teams.
- Tradeshow support including vision for brand & working closely with sales teams.
- Lead Merchandiser for in-store merchandising needs & continued support.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design and/or Marketing
- 5 years Merchandising experience
- Highly creative & analytical
- Strong design aesthetic
- Thorough understanding of trends & product life cycles
- Microsoft Suite proficiency
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
