Our Operations Managers in Training are part of the front desk team, and we are the face of the club! They are who members and guests see first, so it’s their job to set the tone for the rest of the members’ club experience by being friendly and welcoming. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to earn commissions in addition to hourly pay. This position offers a perfect chance to work in a great atmosphere, learn about the health club business, refine your management skills, and enjoy complimentary membership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enhanced Member Support
- Ensuring members are checking into the club
- Engaging with members, guests, and employees to monitor club environment
- Helping members in-person or over the phone find answers to their inquiries
- Make outbound calls to members regarding account status, questions, and/or concerns
- Process monetary transactions
- Assist the Operations Manager (OM) in daily tasks
- Various light cleaning responsibilities
- Supervise a team of up to 20 staff members
- Including but not limited to: scheduling, written or verbal guidance, goal setting, and ongoing training.
- Monitor employee interactions and provide constructive feedback
- Participate in hiring, training, and termination processes where applicable
- Enforce all company, local, and state policies/procedures
- With OM, create team goals and personal goals for yourself/employees
- Work congruently with the Personal Training and Membership Sales Departments
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Verify building safety and cleanliness through regular visual inspections
- Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older to apply
- Bilingual Spanish and/or Vietnamese (Preferred, not required)
- 1 year Customer Service experience
- 1 year Managerial experience
- Completion of Higher Education Degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Proficiency in typing and general computer use
- Ability to work individually and with a team
- Well-kept physical presentation
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 4-hour intervals
- Comfort working in a high-paced environment
General Information:
- Business Casual or Business Professional Attire
- Specific colors required based on corporate directives
- Club hours are Monday – Thursday: 5am-11pm, Friday: 5 am-10pm, Saturday – Sunday: 8am-8pm
- Shift length: 8 hours 1 hour lunch
- Friday – Tuesday 9 am to 5 pm
