LMRV is currently hiring for a HR Manager for our growing team. This role will cover our California store locations. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
SUMMARY: With general direction from the Director of Human Resources, provides consultation and communication to management and staff regarding interpretation and application of policies and procedures relating to HR programs, and other related employee relations activities. Supports, coordinates, and maintains processes related to recruitment, employment, and other HR-related services.
SCHEDULE: Full time, on site role. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. 50% travel within CA stores required. Other travel as needed.
Qualifications
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as liaison between employees and Director of Human Resources on employee relations related issues.
- Responsible for ensuring employee data is accurate and properly documented.
- Understands and keeps up to date with regulatory and legal requirements, such as EEOC, ADA & FMLA.
- Maintains and revises job descriptions as necessary.
- Assists in the recruitment of qualified candidates, including assisting with pre-screening and pre-hiring procedures and paperwork.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solutions; coaching and counseling managers and employees.
- Manages on-boarding process.
- Assists with developing and facilitating training program.
- Assists with developing and maintaining an effective employee orientation program.
- Conducts new employee orientations to help foster a positive attitude toward company goals.
- Manages the employee evaluation and review process.
- Assists with coordinating various human resources training programs.
- Travels to California and Arizona locations as business needs require.
- Responsible for maintaining personnel files.
- Develops Human Resources staff.
- Demonstrates F.A.M.I.L.Y. Core Values.
- Focuses on understanding and meeting HR Competencies: Credible Activist, Culture & Change Steward and Talent Manager/Organization Designer.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Other duties as assigned by the HR Director.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Education - Bachelor’s degree or Human Resources certificate preferred (if degree is in non-HR related field).
- Experience - Minimum five years of Human Resources Generalist or equivalent experience with working knowledge of recruitment and employee relations. Achieved PHR or SHRM-CP, or working towards.
