Job Posting for Mobile Phlebotomist - Sevierville at Lab Crew
A Mobile Phlebotomist is limited to routine venipuncture, specimen processing, administrative duties and responsibilities as directed.
Scope of responsibilities include, but not limited to
Complete routine blood samples.
Complete procedures scheduled during shift without interfering with the quality of work.
Prioritize work to achieve maximum efficiency.
Maintains work area in a sanitary and properly supplied condition at all times.
Treats patients in a courteous manner.
Verifies correct patient by appropriate means before the procedure is begun.
Conducts collection using proper hygiene techniques.
Uses proper technique in obtaining blood samples, including single use of sterile supplies
Draws blood properly and rarely misses a vein on any patient.
Labels the tubes immediately and correctly after procedure is completed.
Uses time between tests to advantage by organizing paperwork, performing general duties, putting away supplies, or performing other duties as necessary.
Seeks information or asks for assistance from appropriate personnel.
Demonstrates competence in all procedures.
Recognizes various needles, tube types, specimen processing and handling requirements.
Recognizes how the phlebotomist?s position and duties relate to the overall function of our crew.
Demonstrate competence in drawing and processing adult and geriatric specimens.
Demonstrates an ability to assess the situation, consider alternatives, and choose the appropriate action.
Performs duties in an independent manner.
Seeks guidance and direction as necessary for the performance of duties.
Maintains supplies as necessary.
Reports to supervisor any suggestion for positive changes or recommendations.
Self-starter who needs no reminders of duties and tasks that needs to be completed.
Identifies problems and opportunities to improve patient services.
Reviews policies and procedures regularly to maintain a complete understanding of the company requirements.
Adapts to changes in methods and procedures with ease and confidence.
Strives to be an effective and productive member of the crew.
Maintains a professional appearance at all times; inspires patients, staff and visitor confidence by communicating and working in a professional manner.
Supports Company goals and philosophy.

Requirements: The position must fulfill all local State requirements pertaining to the state in which the phlebotomy site is located.
Other qualifications include:
1. High school graduate or equivalent
2. Phlebotomy certification preferred
3.2 years experience as a phlebotomist
