Sr. Programmer Analyst

We are seeking a Senior .net Development Engineer for a dynamic team in San Antonio, Texas. This position can also be located remotely in Texas or North Carolina.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing and supporting highly available business-critical applications. The applicant will be challenged with cutting-edge technologies to provide a modern framework for .net/SQL/APIs/SSRS. The role will include dealing with complex business integrations, eliciting requirements, and implementing secure and high-performance applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, unit and integration test high-performing code through standards enforcement, peer code review, and automated tools

• Ability to understand existing legacy systems built using various technologies and working with technical teams and management on migration to the newest platforms

• Must be self-motivated, creative, and technically astute

• Analyzes, reviews, and alters programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt new requirements

• Ability to learn laboratory and operational processes and workflows

• Provides support for production systems

• Adhere to enterprise best practices and processes

• Flexible to provide off-business-hour support

Education / Certification

• B.S. Degree in Computer Science or similar with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a related field

• Must be US Citizen (DoD requirement)

Skills

• 6+ years of implementation experience using the latest C#/.net technologies

• 6+ years of experience in writing high-performing queries in SQL Server, PostgreSQL or Oracle

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns

• Proficient in building secure RESTful services using .net/.net Core

• Experience with Git, Bamboo, Confluence, JIRA, and Jenkins

• Prior experience in the healthcare industry and understanding of HL7 / FHIR is a plus

• Experience with UI development using Angular or React is a plus

• Passion for collaboration and working on agile teams

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
