Support Services Team Lead

Position Summary:

Serve as a resource to teammates and assist management in ensuring daily tasks are completed and quality control standards are maintained. The warehouse team lead should be a subject matter expert on all inventory and standard operating procedures in order to guide and drive the warehouse team towards their daily goals.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist with daily UPS drop-off for inbound shipments.

Serve as resource for outbound, Inbound, and kitting teams.

Help to ensure quality and accuracy of outbound, Inbound, and kitting teams. Assist with training of new employees and temporary contractors to help meet goals and volume (Outbound, Inbound, Inventory Counts, Kitting, Restocking) Assist with receiving raw materials and new inventory from vendors

Assist with stocking of new inventory in accordance with current standards Help to maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the warehouse, providing instruction and direction to teammates as needed.

Ensure Inventory Counts are completed by team daily and help confirm and correct count variances

Coordinate completion of daily tasks with team (restocking, trash, clean-up, etc) Be second point of contact with UPS Deliveries and Pick-ups

Assisting with opening and closing of warehouse as necessary.

Maintain open line of communication with manager and keep them informed of anything related to warehouse space and team.

Assist with administrative tasks as needed

Assist with larger-scale projects such as inventory re-orgs

Assist with other tasks as determined by warehouse management

Skills Required:

• Organization and attention to detail
• Ability to use handheld android devices and scanners
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions Ability to work on feet for 8 hours a day Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to use PCs for basic functions (e.g., using web browser, checking email) Positive can-do attitude Safety-Conscious
• Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years' old

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse which is both a professional and physical environment. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as dollies, skids, and pallet jacks as well as office equipment such as computers, phones, barcode scanners, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Lift/Carry boxes and lab equipment weighing up to 70 lbs
