The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine is currently seeking an experienced NP or PA to join our Cardiovascular Medicine team at our practice in Beverly. The successful candidate must be able to interact positively with all members of a multidisciplinary care team, patients and their families and possess the emotional intelligence to work collaboratively in a fast paced, high-acuity environment where quality, collegiality and caring come first.
Clinical activities will be both inpatient and outpatient. The AP's activities will include seeing outpatients in the office and helping staff address clinical questions. They will also participate in daily rounds with an attending cardiologist, writing consults on patients from the emergency department, telemetry units and CCU, developing daily therapeutic plans and writing progress notes. Required skills include competent clinical assessment skills and decision making, managing and coordinating emergency situations collaboratively with nursing and hospital staff, ordering and interpreting appropriate labs, ECGs, diagnostic testing and procedures.
Schedule: 5 8-hour shifts per week including some weekends and holidays.
Requirements:
· Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program
· Licensure in the state of Massachusetts
· Current BLS/ACLS Certification
· Preferred experience with Cardiology patients
· Preferred EPIC medical record system
