What are the responsibilities and job description for the ACH Processor (Payment Services Manager) position at Lake Trust Credit Union?
The role of the Payment Services Manager delivers performance excellence by overseeing the operations and support activities for all ACH, Checks, and ATM services offered by Lake Trust. Responsible for leading and coordinating the team assisting with all payment services, including the management of our partners and vendors, to ensure the best experience is established for all members and employees in which the department supports.
What You’ll Do
- Ensures Payment Services meets expectations by creating and maintaining a positive member experience through all payment channels.
- Demonstrates effective leadership and development of the Payment Services team and oversees the day-to-day operations of ACH, Checks, and ATMs/PTMs, ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines are met.
- Analyzes, evaluates, and implements an efficient payments process ensuring internal controls are in place, and financial policies are adhered to.
- Makes certain career development plans are established and resources are allocated to support employee achievement and satisfaction.
- Collaborates with other business units to provide adequate materials and information for front line staff to support member needs.
- Provides oversight of all balancing and reconciliation activities for ACH, Checks and ATMs/PTMs.
- Participates in managing relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure all parties are working together so that system and equipment performance meets Credit Union service expectations and supports strategic goals.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a business continuity/disaster recovery plan to support Payment Services.
- Responds to audit findings and ensures that operations are within all applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Responds to member comments and concerns.
- Recruit, select, train, assign, and schedule employees.
- Participates in the development, implementation and forecasting of the annual budget that supports Payment Services operations.
- Maintains a self-development program to increase professional knowledge and leadership skills and to stay aware of industry changes. This may include attending conferences, classes, and webinars.

What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience required
- 5-6 years of professional work experience in Financial Services
- 3 years of experience managing and leading teams
- ACH Accreditation preferred
