Job Summary:
Our paint technician’s primary role is to train painters, give constant feedback on quality of product and hourly rates, work with painters and mask washers to solve mask Issues, and give hourly communication with Production Supervisor on ALL issues
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- End of Shift Report (Written or Email) of days Production Runs to Production Supervisor
- Immediate notice of downtime after 15 mins to Production Supervisor
- All factors that prevented Prod from reaching the KPI’s or daily Scheduled Goal for Production documented in End OF Shift Report
- Meeting at the Schedule Board with Production Supervisor to communicate the day’s events and tomorrow’s goals and concerns
- Weekly action plan update on Rate Improvements, Material Usage and First Time Yields vs Quoted improvements.
- All necessary paperwork is being filled out completely and turned into appropriate personnel.
- All Paint is Labeled with APPROVED stickers and all Cut Paint is correctly and thoroughly filled out.
- All necessary Maintenance is being performed and documented and Uptime is being maximized.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintaining Uptime on all scheduled Production Lines
- A continual floor presence in the Paint Area (watching, listening, training, guiding, mentoring, supervising)

- Material Usage
- 1st time yield
- Quoted PPH
- overall line effectiveness
- Total preparation for the next day’s production (Paint, Equipment, any other items needed must be available and ready to be used)
- Minimal time spent in the Inspection and Load Areas. (Unless answering questions or assisting the Supervisor)

Education and Experience:
- Must have a High school diploma/GED
- Manual painting experience is a benefit, but not required
