What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Specialist position at Lakeshore Motor Company Inc?
**Must have 1-year CDJR Parts and/or Service Advisor Experience**
This position is a dual-role position, Parts Specialist and Service Advisor
Parts Specialist Requirements:
Your responsibilities would include, but not limited to:
- Sell Parts to customers, to the service department and over the counter;
- Aid walk-in customers in choosing the necessary Parts and suggest companion requirements;
- Determine availability on out of stock items;
- Prepare Orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick up;
- Retrieve Parts purchased from Stock;
- Review files weekly to keep on top of back orders and return to vendors;
- Issue credit for Parts returned and ensure invoice number is correct to verify proper credit and pricing;
- Unload and examine incoming shipments; record shortages and put aside damaged items; communicate with shipper to correct damages and shortages.
Service Advisor Requirements:
Your responsibilities would include, but not limited to:
- Schedule service appointments in the department and recommend additional work to customers
- Obtain customer and vehicle data.
- Confirm each customer's method of payment.
- Communicate with service customers to confirm the nature of the mechanical problem(s)
- Provide estimates for labor and parts.
- Contact customer by phone for approval if service work cannot be established at the time of reception
- Indicate on repair order the exact repair instructions, note the main reason(s) the car was brought in for
- Follow-up on work in progress of each repair order during the day.
- Advise customers on the status of their cars to ensure they understand the dealership cares about their business
- Answer work and price related questions
- Explain to the customer the details of the work order so they feel confident that the work was done properly and fairly
- Resolve customer complaints courteously and promptly, or refer the customer to the management
- Complete the closing of a work order
- Sign off finished work and phone the customer to advise that their car is now ready for pick-up
- Stay up to date on training provided by CDJR
- Be knowledgeable of warranties
- Must be in the top tier of the CDJR CSI (Customer Satisfaction Score)
- Obtaining email addresses and updating the customer profile to reflect correct information
Must have drivers license. Must be able to pass a background check and pass a drug test.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
