Job Function:
Provides courteous, friendly and enthusiastic customer service; ensures accurate and efficient checkout service; processes all types of
sales transactions in accordance with company policies; provides a clean, neat, and safe working and shopping environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Greet all customers and provide prompt, friendly, and enthusiastic service.
2. Go above and beyond to satisfy any request for assistance from customers, co-associates and management.
3. Be a vital component of the success of the company by striving for success to the best of your ability. Input, creativity and
responsibility are expected of all.
4. Contribute to a loyal, satisfied customer base by being attentive, dedicated, and always willing to help.
5. Accurately and efficiently process all types of sales transactions in accordance with Robért’s policies and procedures.
6. Verify contents of cashier till at beginning and end of shift. Take responsibility for contents of till during shift.
7. Be an expert on the wide variety of products offered by Robért Fresh Market and learn about uncommon and unique items.
8. Pay attention to daily and weekly specials, ad prices, and other promotions.
9. Monitor prices and weights for accuracy. Immediately report any scanning or weighing problems.
10. Prevent shrink, damage, and spoilage of product. Promptly handle items needing to be restocked and dispose of unusable
goods in accordance with company policy.
11. Comply with all health and safety regulations.
12. Keep checkout area spotless, organized and properly stocked.
13. Keep store clean, neat, and free of safety hazards.
14. Observe all rules and policies of Robért Fresh Market, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations.
15. Verify customer IDs and observe state and store policies pertaining to the sale of alcohol and tobacco products.
16. Ensure customer requests and complaints are handled promptly and courteously.
17. Practice safe use of all equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
18. Follow all security standards and procedures.
19. Ensure customers always find fresh, attractively displayed products by assisting in other areas of the store when requested.
20. Perform other duties throughout the store as directed.
Requirements:
1. Be willing to constantly and consistently provide excellent customer service and be friendly, courteous and tactful when
dealing with customers, vendors, and co-associates.
2. Be responsible for store safety and adhere to Robért’s Commitment to Safety.
3. Have good math skills. Be able to perform basic calculations and have knowledge of weights and measures.
4. Be able to identify products by sight and memorize PLU codes.
5. Have effective English language communication skills, be able to hear, speak, and understand verbal requests, and be able to
read, write, and understand written communications proficiently.
6. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination are necessary.
7. Demonstrate proficiency in the proper use of all computers, handheld devices, and mechanical equipment necessary to your
job. Be 10 key proficient.
8. Must be able to operate job related equipment such as scales, hand trucks, etc..
9. Have the ability to sit, stand or walk for up to five hours without a break, and be able to bend and stoop to move or inspect
objects, and climb stairs or ladders up to 6 feet.
10. Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 40 pounds, unassisted
11. Frequent repetitive motion with hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, frequent twisting at waist.
12. Short term environmental exposer: temperature variations from hot to cold
13. Work on a variety of floor surfaces including tile, concrete, poured non slip surfaces, etc.
14. Be able to tolerate environmental exposer: damp/humid to dry; temperature variations from hot to cold
15. Be able to tolerate moderate amounts of dust, gas fumes and chemicals from common cleaning agents such as ammonia
during routine housekeeping duties.
16. Be able to work with fresh fruits and vegetables, house plants and flowers without negative allergic consequences.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
