Job Description
The Registered Nurse – OR role is to assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the provider’s medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: 0.7 FTE. Day/Eve. Includes: Variable weekday and weekend call and variable holiday call
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry.
- Minimum 1 year of RN OR experienced required or completion of peri-op 101 course.
- Current BLS from American Heart Association or Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Nursing
- Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
- Advanced knowledge of sterile techniques, and OR circulating experience.
