About the Unit/Department/Team
Lakewood Health System is invested in employee and community wellness, including the wellness of our partners @ LHS and at 2 off campus Occupational Health sites. Join the LPNs and RNs in Employee and Occupational Health who function as a great team rooted in the EH/OH department, but embedded throughout the system and community! With regular touchpoints via team huddles and 1-on-1 meetings, you'll maintain a strong connection to your LHS team while you serve the employees of LHS and the OH sites. At LHS, you'll connect with the EH/OH manager, HR, other dept managers and supervisors to support the health and wellness of LHS staff.
Mission for Position
The Employee health and occupational health nurse assigned will provide quality, personalized prevention, screening and health support for LHS employees and assigned community partners.
Duties & Responsibilities OR Position Summary
- Provides education, support and motivation emphasizing health and safety
- Coordinates new hire screening process
- Observe compliance with OSHA and work comp standards and requirements
- Perform and document health assessments
- Collaborate with employees and employer to develop and implement modified job tasks based on workability reports.
- Identify existing or potential environmental, health and safety hazards and inform appropriate individuals regarding adaptations or position interventions
Position Type
Part-time hours available, with needed flexibility to cover our main campus, senior campus or occupational health sites. Monday through Friday hours, no weekends or holidays.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure
- Certifications (CPR, BLS, etc)
