The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales strategy in the assigned channel. Within their assigned channel, this position is responsible for delivering the profit net revenue KPIs, sales fundamentals KPIs, trade spend within budget and forecast accuracy KPI. The Regional Sales Manager will drive business through both existing and targeted customers in the assigned channel. This position will leverage their broker partners to deliver their KPIs. This is a home-based sales position with a preferred location in Sn Antonio, TX.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Develop and lead an overall sales strategy for assigned channel, communicate, and collaborate to execute the vision.
- Work with Sales Planning to secure programs and tools necessary to deliver the sales fundamentals KPIs- distribution, shelf presence, everyday price, promotion/merchandising plan.
- Grow existing and new business according to company objectives for assigned channel.
- Build and manage effective relationships with customers through continuous communication and excellent customer service.
- Work closely with peers to collaborate and share best practices to ensure consistent organizational selling.
- Work closely with finance to manage trade spend and promotions within budget.
- Work closely with brokers who manage our portfolio to ensure they stay within company guidelines.
- Ensure retail execution aligned with brand strategy (increasing space, pricing, promotion, distribution, SKU management, etc.) through effective management of broker partners
- Drive brand growth by working with Sales Planning to implement retail POS materials.
- Develop and deliver timely and accurate sales forecasts.
- Work with Sales Planning on new product development with the goal of profitably increasing sales.
- Participate in industry specific associations, trade shows, and customer events.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-7 years of sales experience in the consumer-packaged goods or food and beverage industry.
- Experience with channel-specific customers, such as HEB, Winco, Whole Foods, Sprouts
- 3 years syndicated data experience such as Nielsen or IRI.
- A proven track record of success growing sales and developing new customers.
- Demonstrated experience with fact based selling

WORKING CONDITIONS
- The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is necessary.
- Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending on the project or assignment.
- This is a home-based position that is located in San Antonio, TX
- Must be able to travel 30% of the time.
