Engineering Manager
The Engineering Manager will report to the Engineering Director and will work with the Process and Plant Engineers, Maintenance Supervisor, and other departments to ensure that Lamart’s infrastructure and work environment are suitable to develop and produce quality products in a safe manner that meet our customers’ requirements.
Qualifications: B.S. Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with five to ten years of experience in manufacturing with three to five years supervisory experience.
Responsibilities: Assess production processes with an eye towards continuous process and quality improvements, product commercialization, waste reduction, product performance enhancements, process safety enhancements, increased manufacturing efficiency, facility and machinery enhancements, and increased manufacturing reliability.
Specific Duties:
· Oversee manufacturing maintenance activities and track performance, effectiveness, and reliability of critical plant assets.
· Work with Process & Plant Engineers to execute equipment upgrades, replacements, and relocations.
· Work collaboratively with other departments to optimize processes, commercialize new products, reduce waste, and improve quality.
· Support process and plant data acquisition and analysis efforts.
· Work with Process and Plant Engineers and Operations team to execute throughput optimization goals and Support Lean initiatives.
· Assist PPD and Process and Plant Engineers with product qualifications.
· Assist Quality Department with internal and external complaint resolution and corrective action implementation.
· Work with Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to ensure a safe work environment and address any environmental hazards or regulatory concerns.
· Establish departmental goals and direct report goals based on a flow down of corporate goals.
· Identify and qualify critical external support partners.
