What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Lead position at LAMILL Coffee?

We are searching for skilled, creative baker/pastry cook who strive to provide excellent baked items and service in an efficient, professional manner. The baker will collaborate with pastry chef on design, execute, and improve recipes, perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products, use icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations to enhance item presentation.

To be a successful baker, you should be efficient and friendly with a focus on food quality and customer satisfaction. You should be organized, decisive, attentive, and possess a strong understanding of baking techniques.

Baker Responsibilities:

  • Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as cookies, bread, cakes, etc.
  • Decorating and displaying finished products.
  • Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
  • Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate Superiors to complete the daily tasks
  • Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with LAMILL new recipes and preparation techniques
  • Able to make basic pastry recipes such as caramel syrup, chocolate syrup, etc.
  • Participate in establishing the month end inventory in the bakery
  • Handle all food transfers out of the kitchen to other areas and ensures proper placement
  • Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control
  • Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels.
  • Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
  • Responsible for refrigerator organization. Continuous cold storage checks to make sure they are at the correct temperatures.
  • Refrigerate and restock food products upon being delivered.
  • Ensures kitchen is frequently cleaned and sanitized

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
