Job Description:
The Maintenance Controls Technician job duties:
- Program and maintain numerous process meters and transmitters. Examples: flow, level, pressure, temperature
- Program, maintain and modify Rockwell Factory Talk View applications
- Troubleshoot Wonderware software related issues
- AS-I Fieldbus configuration and trouble shooting
- Experience with PLC’s, HMI’s, AC drives and industrial networks - Allen-Bradley preferred
- Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC programs, control components - photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, and variable frequency drives (VFD’s)
- Calibrate process instrumentation per work instructions
- Provide maintenance support for all production and utilities related issues
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, disassemble, examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear, repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment
- Must be willing to work on mechanical issues and be mentored by maintenance personnel

Hours: 3rd Shift; 11pm-7am or 6pm-2am
Wage: $34.63 - $38 per hour DOE

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Two year Associates degree in an established Electrical Technology Program is preferred.
- Three years of experience as a controls or instrumentation technician will be considered as a substitute for the degree.
- One year experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment as a controls or instrumentation technician is required.
- Must be able to do mathematical calculations.
- Proven electrical and mechanical skills
- Prior diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance experience
- Previous experience in a high-speed industrial work environment
- Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and networking of controllers
- Some experience with mechanical systems, utilizing product manuals, troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, and reading mechanical drawings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 18 years or older
- Must pass a controls theory/PLC programming skills exam.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge in their functions and ability to troubleshoot and fix system issues
- Self-reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision
- Ensures a safe working environment while performing assigned tasks
- Customer focused and able to work in a collaborative
- Ability to follow manufacturer's specifications and direction
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years' experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance
- Experience with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, ammonia systems, conveyers, gearing, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, VFD, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
- Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
- Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present
- Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime
