A parks and recreation department in Pensacola is looking for a landscaping crew member to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors to help maintain outdoor areas within the city.
Job Responsibilities :
Landscaping Parks using landscaping tools such as weed eaters, edges, zero-turn mowers, and lawn equipment.
Qualifications :
- Some knowledge of the methods, tools and materials used in landscape maintenance
- Some knowledge of pertinent safety standards and practices followed in construction, maintenance, and repair work
- Ability to maintain harmonious relationships with the public
- Skill in routine care and use of tools and equipment
- Ability to operate and maintain commercial lawn equipment
- Ability to withstand working outdoors under variable weather conditions and risks
- The employee will routinely sit, climb, balance, stoop, crouch, and crawl.
- Must have a valid Driver’s license and a clean driving record
Compensation & Benefits :
- Starting wage of $15 / hour
- Hours are 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work
