A legal company located in Pensacola is looking for a Legal Secretary to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to join a supportive and positive work environment and start a career with this company.
What you’ll be doing to make an impact:
- Transcribing, and summarizing documents
- Under general supervision, performing clerical secretarial duties utilizing legal terms
- Preparing legal documents and correspondence in a proper legal format.
- Preparing rough drafts of correspondence from verbal instructions and/or own initiation.
- Using transcribing equipment for dictation.
- Managing numerous tracking/diary systems and calendars including Microsoft Outlook.
- Preparing and processing mail to clients and attorneys.
- Finalizing and electronically filing documents in various State and Federal Courts.
- Scheduling of depositions, hearings, and attorney meetings.
- Organizing and maintaining documents and case files.
- Strong Telephone Skills Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Running errands if necessary.
- Maintaining mail log for incoming mail.
- Scanning incoming mail/documents.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Legal experience preferred but not required
- Previous office experience required
- Strong computer proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel), document management, and time entry software
- Willing to learn WordPerfect, Adobe and various other programs
- A reliable and dependable worker
- A team player
