    . Salary: $16.65 - $23.56

    • Oregon schools have been directed by the Governor under OAR 333-019-1030 to ensure that school teachers, staff and volunteers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.     . POSITION PURPOSE: The position provides general office support for the Special Education programs.
    .
    . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    .
    . A. Maintain complex, specialized records (IEP’s) in student information system, and prepare narrative and/or statistical reports as necessary.
    . B. Maintain student files, including IEPs in compliance with statutes and established rules.
    . C. Monitor Workers Compensation coverage for students who are working or volunteering as part of their planned programs.
    . D. Prepare/process narrative and statistical reports as assigned.
    . E. Order supplies for assigned programs.
    . F. Receive, process and disseminate supplies, equipment and materials.
    . G. Process travel and expense reimbursements.
    . H. Track classroom, consultant and supervisory budget allocations and expenses.
    . I. Sort and distribute incoming mail.
    . J. Maintain an inventory of materials or specialized equipment and distribute to classrooms upon request.
    . K. Assist with planning and organization of program meetings and workshops including participant databases as appropriate.
    . L. Provide secretarial support for special departmental projects.
    . M. Provide backup/secondary support for co-workers in the department.

    . QUALIFICATIONS:
    . A high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of general office experience or a combination of post high school education and experience are required. Ability to read, write, and speak in Spanish preferred. Proficiency in the use of web-based communication tools and information sharing systems, spreadsheet, database, and word processing software to perform the duties of the position and knowledge of basic bookkeeping processes are essential. Knowledge of special education rules, procedures and requirements is preferred. Complete job learning time may take three to six months.

Lane ESD’s Special Education Service Area provides a wide range of services to districts in Lane County, including School Psychology, Speech Language Therapy and Augmentative Communication services, behavior consultation, and direct or related services for students with cognitive impairments, students with emotional/behavioral disorders, students with low-incidence disabilities, adjudicated at-risk youth, and young adults served at the State Hospital.
