Job Highlights

  • The trainee program is expected to be a 2-year rotational assignment, where the incumbent will spend approximately 3-9 months in each department. During the program, the trainee will perform job duties in Order to Cash (OtC) which relates to Accounts Receivable, Record to Report (RtR) which relates to Accounting and Reporting, Purchase to Pay (PtP) which relates to Accounts Payable, Treasury (TIR), Tax (TTC) and Controlling (CON).
  • RtR - Prepare and record monthly journal entries in the general ledger. Support with the monthly closing process. Perform balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis. Review and process asset disposals and transfers as well as project completion notices in SAP. Financial statement preparation and reporting.
  • PtP - Actively involved P2P supply chain process, spanning across purchase requisition, purchase order generation, goods receipt, and invoice processing through payment, including issue resolution ownership, as well as automation.
  • CON - Participate in budgeting and forecasting relating to group functions. Support Controlling team with cost center and/or income statement analysis and reporting. Assist with preparing reporting for senior management. Provide support on finance related projects.
  • TiR - Develop understanding of banking related structure, assist with back-office treasury tasks and support Cash Manager with weekly cash flow forecasting. Provide support on finance related projects.
  • TTC - Tax - Participate in preparation and filing of indirect tax returns (property, sales and use tax), provide data collection and analytical support for federal income tax and reconcile activity in SAP with OneSource system.
  • OtC - Provide support with primary cash application responsibilities; accounts receivable related reporting (aging, disputes, over dues, bad debt). Review dispute report daily to determine customer invoices requiring attention for dispute resolution and work with the business units to quickly resolve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • MBA or related graduate degree is a plus, but not required, but if possessed can count towards the minimum experience requirement.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to learn, coupled with a strong work ethic. Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and in small groups with a high level of accuracy while meeting assigned deadlines. Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (e.g., GAAP or International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Ability to understand and interpret Profit and Loss Statements, accounting theory, regulations and their applications.
  • Exceptional time management capabilities, with the ability to apply the appropriate level of priority to responsibilities and follow-up tasks.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is desired,
