Position Summary
The Assistant Manager position is responsible for assisting the General Manager in leading a store in the achievement of its performance goals including operational, financial, human resources and customer service. The scope of the role includes: 1) coaching, developing and managing the team, 2) ensuring customer satisfaction and quality service, 3) monitoring operational standards to achieve results, 4) contribute to the achievement of financial goals and 5) sales, marketing and business development activities
Responsibilities
- Coach, develop and manage a team
- Maintain a positive work culture for a high performing, motivated, satisfied team of employees
- Oversee and ensure work standards, output and quality within operational objectives
- Act as role model for team behavior and continuous learning
- Assist General Manager in hiring practices
- Coach, develop and provide feedback to accelerate development of the team
- Address performance issues and provide each team member every opportunity to succeed
- Review monthly performance plans with General Manager: annual objectives, current priorities, performance against objectives and development plans
- Ensure customer satisfaction and quality service
- Build enduring customer relationships with consistent service and quality
- Assist General Manager with implementation of customer service standards within the store
- Proactively seek customer feedback on promotions and in store service and act upon feedback
- Creatively seek ways to highlight, recognize and reward excellent customer service
- Implement operational standards to achieve results
- Accountable by shift for consistency of operational processes and quality standards
- Prepare for store inspections that evaluate progress and train team to be in compliance
- Ensure safety, security, health, facilities, repair and environment standards are met on a consistent basis
- Address urgent maintenance and repair issues and escalate urgent capital needs
- Contribute to the achievement of financial goals
- Track and monitor daily/weekly results and contribute to trend analysis
- Assist in managing schedule, labor, food cost and payroll within financial budget
- Lead sales, marketing and business development activities
- Participate in and promote store sales and marketing promotions and track results
- Assist GM in determining local community venues for advertising and marketing

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
