Automotive Parts Shipping/Receiving
Reports To: Parts Manager
Wage Range: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Work Location: Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma
Summary: To perform manual and clerical work in shipping, receiving, storing and issuing of parts in a warehouse
setting. Assist parts manager in proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of job include, but are not limited to:
- Greets external and internal customers in a timely, professional, smiling and friendly manner. Listens actively, providing accurate information and advice.
- Receives processes and checks parts and verifies the correctness of the shipment against the packing slip.
- Prepares forms and maintains records dealing with discrepancies and damaged parts.
- Prepares shipments for return to venders, delivers shipments to recipients, and picks up shipments from customers that need to be returned.
- Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Prepare documents, such as bills of lading, and shipping orders to route parts.
- Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of parts.
- Locate and put away parts within parts department and/or warehouse on a daily basis.
- Deliver and store parts using work devices, such as hand truck, shopping cart, pellet jack, and hydraulic transmission and engine jack.
- Pack, seal, and label parts for shipping.
- Ships parts ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
- Places parts orders with various venders and on a daily basis.
- Maintains inventory accuracy by posting vender orders using Reynolds and Reynolds.
- Assist parts manager in processing daily stock orders.
- Assist in ensuring that credits are received from venders for all returned parts.
- Assist in preparing for and performing annual parts inventory.
- Pull parts as directed by your immediate supervisor, in a time and manner appropriate for each invoice.
- Ships and maintains all records and posting that are affiliated with dirty cores from all venders.
- Monitors and performs all functions and responsibilities needed to maintain warranty parts on a daily basis.
- Locate and notify appropriate parties when special order parts arrive.
- Responsible for timely pickup and delivery of parts from Puyallup to warehouse location on a daily basis.
- Assist in organizing and arranging parts for wholesale delivery or pickup.
- Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
- Prioritizes and performs multiple tasks simultaneously in order to meet and exceed deadlines and expectations.
- Maintains assigned work area, break room, and dressing room in an organized and clean manner. Exhibiting pride in the work area and dealership
- Maintains personal cleanliness, grooming and uniform standards according to dealership guidelines.
- Arrives at work, takes breaks, and departs work at scheduled times. Accrues overtime only with management authorization.

Hourly and Salary employees will receive 6 paid holidays each year.
We offer a competitive PTO (Paid Time Off) program; employees begin to accrue hours from day one worked (eligible to use after 90 days of employment). PTO is accrued for the first 2 years at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked at 3 to 10 years 1.53 hours of PTO for every 40 hours worked and at 10 years 2.30 hours of PTO for every 40 hours worked.

Educations and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree; or one to three month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
