What You Will Do
- Craft menus that reflect our mission of providing nutritious and satisfying meals to those we serve.
- Coordinate community meals with warmth and hospitality.
- Lead a team of kitchen staff and volunteers in preparing and serving meals with dignity and respect.
- Managing all facets of kitchen operations to include but not limited to, ordering, receiving, handling of food donations, menu planning and production, meal service, stewarding/sanitation, cost control, and scheduling.
- Embrace opportunities to mentor and empower individuals participating in our culinary training programs.
- Minimum of five years of industry cooking experience.
- Previous experience in a management role overseeing banquet production, large volume catering, breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
- Previous experience in culinary leadership roles, preferably in a hospitality or nonprofit setting.
- Experience with menu planning, ordering, scheduling, and the ability to manage a food cost is required.
- A passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to serving others with compassion.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
