Project Manager - Procurement

LaSalle Network has partnered with our client for an exciting hybrid opportunity with 3 days per week onsite in Downers Grove, IL. As a Project Manager - Procurement, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for various projects while also driving and managing change initiatives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure that all procurement activities align with project goals and company objectives, and that change management strategies are effectively implemented.

Project Manager - Procurement Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage project plans, timelines and budgets for procurement projects
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, specifications and change impacts
• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost and delivery capabilities
• Negotiate contracts, terms and pricing with suppliers to secure the best value for the company
• Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards
• Implement and maintain procurement policies, procedures and best practices
• Track project progress and provide regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the procurement process
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address potential project risks
• Lead change management initiatives related to procurement projects, including stakeholder engagement, communication plans and training programs
• Collaborate with the finance team to manage project budgets and ensure cost-effective procurement
• 
  Project Manager - Procurement Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field. A Master's degree, PMP or Change Management certification is a plus
• 5 years of experience in project management and procurement, with a strong focus on change management
• Deep understanding of procurement processes, contract management, supplier relationship management and change management methodologies
• Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Exceptional negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in procurement software, change management tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
