POSITION SUMMARY
The Help Desk Technician will assist in troubleshooting for both hardware and software in the corporate office, via the online helpdesk. They will configure computers for new employees, and wipe them for terminations. The ideal candidate will have 2 years professional IT experience, with helpdesk experience a plus. Must be personable, patient, and customer service oriented. This role reports to the Help Desk Manager and is based out of our Cherry Hill, NJ location.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Install and configure PCs for individual users according to LPC guidelines
- Troubleshoot PC / Laptop / Printer issues at user's desk or by using remote access tools
- Resolve issues Phoned in, Emailed, or logged into the Help Desk Application
- Maintain inventory database; Log ownership changes of hardware in an Inventory Management application
- Transfer or correct data. Requires diligence & attention to detail
- Pack & Ship Computer Equipment. (Involves moving & lifting of up to 50 lbs.)
- Move or Deliver Computer equipment. (Involves moving & lifting of up to 50lbs.)
- Maintain Process Documentation
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of PCs, WinOSs, MS Office and PC Networking, wired and wireless.
- Linux experience is not required, but preferred.
- 2 years IT experience
- Help Desk experience a plus
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Able to communicate successfully with colleagues regardless of their technical expertise
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task
- Must have excellent time management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.
FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.
OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20 - 35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.
