Job Title: Commercial Security System Installer

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Security System Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial security systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electronic security systems and possess excellent technical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Install and configure commercial security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
2. Conduct site surveys to assess security needs and provide recommendations.
3. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on security equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
4. Troubleshoot and repair security system components, including wiring, cameras, sensors, and control panels.
5. Collaborate with clients to understand their security requirements and tailor system configurations accordingly.
6. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements to recommend improvements and upgrades to existing systems.
7. Provide training to clients on the operation and maintenance of security systems.
8. Document all installations, maintenance, and repairs for reference and future troubleshooting.
9. Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless integration of security systems with other building technologies.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Security System Technician or a related field.
2. Strong knowledge of commercial security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
3. Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
4. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if required.
8. Familiarity with relevant regulations and codes governing security systems.
9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications in security system installation and maintenance (e.g., CPP, PSP, or manufacturer-specific certifications) are a plus.
