Job Description:

CAD Technicians and Designers

LAV Engineering is seeking engineering CAD Technicians to provide CAD support for our Ormond Beach, Florida based office. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment of experienced professionals.

Ideal candidates will have proven proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and some experience in Civil 3D.

Duties will depend upon the experience of the individual but will include working closely with leadership to design a product that meets customer needs and the needs of the company.

Job Requirements:

Candidates should possess the following:

• CAD/Drafting Skills/Experience (Min. 2-3 yrs)
• Work or study experience with AutoCAD and proficiency with Revit is required.
• Ability to assist in the creation of engineering/architectural/civil style drawings, from model to finished work sets in 2D or 3D.
• Ability to work with xrefs, including file management of referenced drawings as project progresses.
• Ability to understand and manage AutoCAD layer styles, line types, fonts, etc. as directed by supervisor.
• Effectively monitor and manage budgeted hours and schedule deadlines of multiple projects at the same time to keep tasks profitable and meet project schedule deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Have excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills, along with a strong work ethic and sense of personal accountability.
• Ability to inform project manager(s) and client managers of progress on assigned projects and communicate design concerns.
• Ability to read construction plans.
• Self-disciplined and highly motivated.
• Highly detail-oriented with good organizational and planning skills are required to manage projects without compromising quality.
• Willingness to grow with the company and accept new challenges.
• Team player with a positive attitude is a must.

Experience:

• CAD technician: 3 year (Preferred)
• Certification and/or formal training in CAD drafting
