Job Description

The Polk Firm is seeking a Family Law Attorney with 2 - 3 years of experience to add to our growing Family Law practice. The Polk Firm has been in business for over 40 years in Houston, Texas. In addition to Family Law, the Polk Firm specializes in Taxation, Commercial Real Estate, and Probate and Estate Planning.

Compensation for this position is based upon experience

 

Responsibilities

  • Counsel clients on family legal issues
  • Represent your clients in the courtroom
  • Negotiate agreements between parties
  • Conduct research and compile evidence for your case
  • Interview all those involved in the case

Qualifications:

  • We are seeking someone with courtroom experience primarily in Harris and Fort Bend Counties. Such attorney should have a firm grasp of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and should be capable of covering every aspect of family law litigation including all phases of discovery and witness preparation.
  • We are seeking a self-motivated individual to develop the case and lead our clients in the courtroom.
  • The ideal candidate will be professional, personable, highly organized, efficient, proactive, trustworthy, and resourceful.
  • Such a candidate should have a desire to problem solve and work in a competitive yet positive atmosphere.
  • While there is a team of legal professionals to assist with complex issues, this individual should be capable of handling a case from beginning to end while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
