A Law Office is seeking a Legal Assistant to join the team in Longwood, FL!
Primary responsibilities include answering multiple phone lines, making phone calls daily, scheduling, file management and client screening as well as many other tasks. We need someone who is proactive, organized, as well as friendly and personable.
```Duties:```
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person or take messages
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for attorneys
- Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, agreements and E-Filings
- File and organize legal documents and correspondence
- Assist with data entry and document management
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements for attorneys
- Conduct research and gather relevant information for cases
```Requirements:```
- 3-5 Years experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of E-Filing preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
